Course objectives
Acquire the knowledge behind image fundamentals and mathematical transforms necessary for image processing. The most common image enhancement and restoration techniques together with the basic steps needed for image segmentation.

To be able to perform basic image manipulation for scientific use. In particular, adjusting image brightness and contrast, cropping and resizing images, applying filters and corrections togheter with basic knowledge of image file formats and color spaces.
