Program

1) Interactomics

Overview of most commonly used tehcniques for studying protein-protein interaction, pros and cons of each technique, practical examples. Lysis-dependent methods: surface plasmon resonance, pull down, far western blot, co-immunoprecipitation. Lysis-independent approaches: proximity ligan assay, proximity-dependent labeling approaches such as BioID, TurboID, APEX, VitoTrap.

2) Metabolomic

Overview of various techniques useful to study  metabolic dysregulation. Analysis of the recent evolution in many paradigm shift in the field of cancer metabolism and analysis of main recent paper relevant in the metabolism field to appreciate the technical evolution of the recent yers in the field

Course delivery

Formal lessons and seminars, with a high degree of interactivity to stimulate discussion of the topics presented.

Oggetto:

Learning assessment methods

Oral examination including the presentation and critical discussion of a scientific publication. Evaluation will be based on quality of the presentation, knowledge of the subjects of the course and critical thinking skills. The vote will be expressed as a fraction of 30 (eventually cum laude).
